Silver Lining is co-owned by sisters Lindsay and Kristi. Growing up, both girls shared a love of horses. As kids, their journey started out taking riding lessons at the local barn, joining 4H and competing at local shows and the county fair. Both girls learned hard work and perseverance cleaning stalls to help support their passion.
By the time Lindsay and Kristi reached high school, Lindsay was competing in the AQHA circuit. The journey took her across the west coast and a Texas youth world or two. While Lindsay continued to show, Kristi's focus turned to school. She continued her involvement with horses by pleasure riding her AQHA mare, and attending Lindsay's horse shows.
It was during this time that Lindsay became interested in designing show apparel. She started out by decorating apparel bought at department stores. She felt there was a need for more cutting edge, original looks in the show pen. As a result in 2003 Silver Lining designs was born.
Through word-of-mouth, Lindsay began creating a limited number of jackets for friends. In 2008, Kristi graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a degree in business. She also continued to share an interest in fashion and the horse industry. It made perfect sense for them to team up with the dream of launching Silver Lining into the mainstream horse industry. As they move forward with their goals, both Lindsay and Kristi work hard to refine sizes,
perfect patterns and gather the creative ideas needed to create beautiful clothes. They look
forward establishing themselves in the show fashion industry for many years to come!
